Our youngest members, Beavers are aged between 6 and 8 years of age. West End has two Beaver Colonies:
Tarzan (Wednesday)
Pride Rock (Thursday, not currently operating, we need adult volunteers)
For the session times please contact us as we are unable to provide them here.
What we do
Lots of fun outdoor activities, creative activities, exploring the local community and the infamous Beaver Sleepover.
Recognising achievements
Badges are awarded for a whole variety of life skills and activities. The top award in this section is the Chief Scout's Bronze Award. Many of our Beavers achieve this, so why not give it a go?
Uniform
We wear the full Beaver uniform – blue sweatshirt, scarf and woggle (colour depends on which Lodge(team) you are in).
If you enjoy your first few weeks within the Beaver Colony then you’ll undertake an investiture, taking the Beaver promise.
Beaver Promise
I promise to do my best
To be kind and helpful
And to love God
Alternative variations of the promise are available, please see The Scout Promise.
Beaver Law
There is no formal Law. The concepts expressed in the Scout Law are presented through games, storytelling and other activities.
